Garment manufacturers and wholesalers in Russia can buy natural shell and mother-of-pearl buttons, shell beads and shell jewellery directly from an Indian manufacturer. MyPearlCraft supplies wholesale and bulk export orders, each quoted individually.
Why Natural Shell Buttons Stand Out
Every MyPearlCraft button starts as genuine shell — trocas, river shell, mother of pearl or cowrie — and is cut, polished and finished in-house at our manufacturing unit. We never use resin or plastic imitations. The lustre you see comes from the material itself, which is why shell reads as a premium detail on a garment.
For manufacturers of shirts, blouses, knitwear and outerwear, genuine shell buttons add a visible quality cue at a small cost per garment, and their natural lustre and variation set a product apart from plastic-trimmed alternatives.
Specifying a Bulk Order Clearly
Clear specifications prevent mistakes on international orders. Give us the button size (in lignes or millimetres), hole count, shape, finish, colour range, quantity and the garment it is for. If you have a reference button, describe or photograph it. We confirm feasibility and send a quote with the lead time; freight is quoted and charged separately.
For wholesalers, a mixed assortment across sizes is common. For manufacturers, one or two repeat specifications usually make sense, since consistent reorders matter more than variety.
Size Guide: Lignes to Millimetres
Buttons are sized in lignes (L), a trade unit equal to about 0.635 mm. Use this quick guide when you specify a size:
- 14L ≈ 9 mm · 18L ≈ 11.5 mm
- 20L ≈ 12.7 mm (½ inch) · 24L ≈ 15 mm
- 32L ≈ 20 mm · 36L ≈ 23 mm
Our range runs from 14L to 36L in 2, 3 and 4-hole styles, with custom sizes available on bulk orders. When in doubt, send us a reference button or a sample garment photo and we will suggest a size.
Terms, Payment and Paperwork
We agree the Incoterm — EXW, FOB or CIF — in the quote, along with payment terms for the order. All export documentation is provided with the shipment. Because import and payment arrangements vary, please confirm the requirements for your own business with your customs broker and bank; we will work with you on the documents we supply.
How to Check Shell Button Quality
Whatever supplier you use, a few simple checks tell you most of what you need to know about a lot of shell buttons. Compare your sample against these points, and ask for the same standard on the bulk order:
- Edges and polish: smooth to the touch, with no rough burrs or sharp rims that could catch thread or skin.
- Holes: cleanly drilled, evenly placed and free of chipping around the edges.
- Thickness: consistent across the lot, so buttons sit evenly on a placket.
- Colour range: natural shell varies, so agree an approved sample range and what variation is acceptable.
- Lustre: look at the surface in daylight and under shop lighting, since iridescence changes with the light.
- Pack counts: confirm the quantity per pack so your production count is accurate.
We are happy to confirm these points against an approved sample before a bulk order is produced.
Planning Your Order: Quantity, Sizing and Lead Time
Good planning avoids reorders. Start with the garment: a typical shirt often uses around eight to twelve buttons once cuffs, collar and a spare are counted, while a cardigan or jacket may use fewer, larger ones. Multiply by your production quantity, then add a small allowance for wastage and spares so you do not run short mid-run.
Confirm the size on a sample garment before ordering in bulk — a button that looks right in a photograph can feel different on the fabric. If you need a custom size, hole count, shape or finish, raise it in your first message, because custom work takes longer than standard sizes. Lead time depends on quantity and customisation and is confirmed in your quote; we never guess it in advance.
The Export Process, Step by Step
Send an enquiry with your product, quantity, specification and destination. We reply with a quote in USD or EUR, the lead time and the freight, which is charged separately from the goods. Once you approve a sample set (arranged for serious buyers), production starts on the agreed Incoterm — EXW, FOB or CIF — and we provide the export documentation with the shipment.
Minimums are typically 500–1000 pieces for buttons and around 50 pieces for jewellery, confirmed per quote. Custom sizes, hole counts, shapes and finishes are possible on bulk orders. Our online store ships retail orders within India only, so international buying is by wholesale quote. Please check Russia’s import requirements with your customs broker; we supply the export paperwork to support clearance.
